• We're back!  And we sincerely apologize for the disruption in service.
  • Check out the Calendar Page for important dates and times.  You can now add events to your Google calendar with the click of your mouse!
  • The Peeler Sale is underway.  Parents will be available from 5:30-6:00 each night to collect money and issue additional peelers.  You may swap Elkhart for South Bend cards while supplies last.  For every 10 peelers sold by this Monday, band members will be entered into a drawing for $50.  One free peeler will be awarded for selling 10 or more peelers by July 22nd.  So, put on your band shirt and ask everyone you know to help support the band!  We need their support.

  • Those unable to sell all 10 peelers are expected to acquire donations.  So, it is acceptable to sell 5 peelers and acquire $50 in donations.  For a "Blue Backer" form to record each donation and to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, look for the "Blue Backer" information on the website or contact Mrs. Martin.   This is the only required fundraiser of the year.  Come to the Parent Preview meeting August 5th to learn more about Blazer Brigade fundraising opportunities.
  • Remember to bring water with you to each practice session.  It's very important to stay hydrated.  Bring along some bug spray too.
  • Proper shoes are needed for marching.  Tennis shoes would be a good choice.  (Flip-flops are NOT proper shoes for marching.)
  • Participation Pays!  New fundraising opportunity.  Learn more about it (and other fundraising events) here.
  • Grab a copy of some very important info from Mr. C.  here.  Download and print it.  You'll want to keep a copy in your music folder and a copy on your refrigerator.  It's a busy time.  Don't miss anything!
  • The 2010 Rehearsal and Event Calendar is out.  Grab a copy of it here.
  • The Spartan labels you collect should be turned in to the band room.  You may send them in at anytime throughout the school-year.  Julie Glaser will be taking care of submitting every 1,00 labels we collect.  Save your labels...and turn them in!
  • The band sounded and looked great at the Bristol Homecoming Parade.  A big thank you to Gary Floyd and Dennis Hoover for pulling the trailer; Phil and Marty Lehman for the ice cold water;  and the ECHS staff for their hours of preparation.  A big shout out goes to the band parents for lining the parade route and cheering on the Brigade.  Teamwork and support are what makes for a great band season!

  • Band Camp food donation requests (pink sheets) were recently sent home with band members.   Thanks for your help in providing a snack for each day of the two-week band camp!
  • Our goal is to have every band and color guard member's  family donate at least one case of bottled water this season.  It takes LOTS of water to keep the band hydrated after a performance and/or contest event.
  • A new information form will be sent to you soon.    This is the one that gives us permission to include your student's information in the band directory.  This is a great resource to help with carpooling.  Parents will have the chance to tell us how they would like to volunteer.
  • Get involved.  The band is gearing up for a great season.  Parent volunteers are very critical to our success.
